Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Pre-WCA2021 Satellite on ECMO
will be held in Krakow, Poland on August 31, just before WCA 2021 in Prague. This one-day symposium will focus on “Extracorporeal life support in contemporary anaesthesiology and intensive care in postcoronavirus 2019 era”
Krakow, the ancient capital of Poland, is a city located in the southern part of the country - about a one-hour flight from Prague (500 km). The Jagiellonian University, one the oldest universities in Central and Eastern Europe, was founded in Krakow in 1364. Since then, it has become the centre of education and science for the whole region, where the discipline of anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine also has a long tradition. It should be noted that the first general anaesthesia in Prague and Krakow were administered on the exact same day - February 7, 1847.
The city of Krakow www.krakow.pl
has extensive experience in hosting congresses and tourists with more than 21 000 hotel beds and convenient flight connections to the main European airports. In addition, highways and train lines conveniently connect Krakow with Prague and neighbouring countries.
I have the privilege to cordially invite you to the PreWCA2021Satellite on ECMO, which is organized in parallel with the 20 International Congress of the Polish Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Krakow, August 29 - September 1, 2021.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Krakow on August 31, 2021.
